E-shop with fishing equipment: How the right SEO strategy led to an increase in sales
Taking on an SEO project that involves complete website migration, content renewal, and simultaneous organic traffic growth, especially in a highly specialized niche, is never a simple task. However, it is a 360° challenge at all levels, something that particularly excites us.
The project, which involved a well-known online fishing equipment store, began in November 2024, with the aim of not only maintaining its performance but also upgrading the overall organic presence of a well-known brand in a highly competitive industry.

✅ The difficulties of the project
The challenge was twofold. On the one hand, no SEO assets should be lost after the migration. On the other hand, that was not enough. The goal was to create a site that would best meet the needs of users and organically attract the demanding audience of both novice and experienced fishermen.
Therefore, the SEO performance of the e-shop, which had a large volume of products, had to be maintained, paying close attention to the correct and complete migration to the new site, so that there would be no loss in rankings, traffic, and sales. This requires experience and a high level of expertise in the field of e-commerce.
At the same time, starting with the new site, the ambition was to set it up from the outset with the right architecture, technical excellence, and content oriented towards search intent.

In January 2025, the new website was launched, after we had first planned and implemented every detail of the SEO migration.

- Mapping all old URLs and correctly mapping them to the new site
- Implementing redirects with absolute precision

- Technical checks for speed, crawlability, and indexability, as well as overall user experience.
The result was indicative of proper preparation, as within just three months of launch, the website was not only in the same position, but had surpassed it by far.

- FAQ sections in each main category, covering real user questions
- Engaging and helpful content that not only meets Google’s best practices but also responds to what users are actually looking for.
This led to the development of a community around fishing gear, covering searches from beginners who are just starting out to experienced anglers looking for specialized equipment and improvement techniques.
This combination allowed the site to appear not only in classic organic results, but also in Google Discover and commercial listings.
